After a very snowy winter its gardening season again! Here’s what I’ve been planting/harvesting:
asparagus (we’ve been harvesting this like crazy and I’m not sick of it yet.)
tomato (One new girl, one NE wedding, one purple variety, and one yellow cherry. No salmonella.)
eggplant (6, oriental expresss)

Ah , the races! We went to check out the dirt track at the local Canaan Speedway. Our favorite was the spectator participation, where spectators can try their hand, and their car, at drag racing. Watching a Subaru kick ass (and rub tires) against a Chevy truck was simply friggin’ awesome.

Last weekend was the Canaan Old Home Days. We’re not sure how it involves “old homes” but it did include a lobster dinner, craft fair, soapbox derby, belt sander race, cow pie bingo, and a dance. Bryan and I walked around the craft fair and saw some of the time trials for the soapbox derby, [...]
